Understanding Printer Drivers

A printer driver is a piece of software that acts as a translator between your operating system (like Windows, macOS, or Linux) and your printer hardware. Without the correct driver, your computer won't know how to send print jobs to your printer, leading to errors or the printer not functioning at all.

1. Automatic Installation (Recommended for most modern printers and Windows)

Connect your printer:

USB: Connect one end of the USB cable to your printer and the other to an available USB port on your computer.

Turn on the printer: Power on your printer.
